Ethics and Standards
The AATQ oversees the practice of its professional members through a code of ethics. The association’s Code of Ethics was established with the intention of maintaining the highest standards of practice and protecting the interests of clients who use the services of an art therapist. It is important to the AATQ that the public be made aware of their rights. Also, the training standards ensures that our association only accepts members who meet the highest standards of training as professional art therapists.
As an association, we are prepared to investigate any questions or any violation of our ethical code.
Please note the following:
- To be certain that you are receiving the services of a fully qualified art therapist, please consult our Professional Art therapist Directory.
- if you have any questions regarding the ethics code or any concerns regarding the ethical conduct of an art therapist please contact the Ethical and standards Committee at info@aatq.org
