Français à venir! Hello! My name is Katrina. Thank you for your interest. I love doing what I do! I enjoy accompanying my clients on their journey, figuring out what makes them “tick,” watching as they bloom and discover new pathways they might not have seen for themselves before. Therapy can be like stirring up a muddy puddle, and waiting for it to settle. Once the debris moves around and quietly settles into its new home, then you can see clearly again. I will be there to consistently provide you with a safe space where you can explore yourself, your needs, and your wishes. Together we will figure out how we can get you where you want to be. As an art therapist, I have an extended set of tools to offer if words go in circles. You do not have to be “good” at making art (or know anything about it). It is helpful though to be open to the possibilities of how making art can help you tell your story, realize ideas, and feelings that can be difficult to put words to. I would like to applaud you for being here, right now, because it means you are looking for and potentially reaching out for support. Everyone needs support in their lives sometimes and that is perfectly fine. That is what I am here for. Feel free to contact me if you think I could be a good fit for you. As an art therapist, I have worked with adults, seniors, young adults and children. I have experience in guiding clients through a broad variety of life experiences. I also have over 20 years of experience working with the neurodivergent population within the field of education and art therapy. I work with clients experiencing mental health issues, chronic illnesses, addiction, poor self-esteem, and those looking for guidance through difficult life stages or transitions. I like to use a person-centered, holistic approach. Together we will look at your life as a whole, and make a plan that fits you to help you regain your balance. I like to use a person-centered approach. At the beginning, we will look at what has brought you to therapy. Together we will decide on how to move forward in a manner that respects your boundaries, but also pushes you outside of your comfort zone when needed. Being an art therapist, the use of artistic materials can be used to help uncover what may not be easily reachable through words alone. Currently I will provide a receipt under the Quebec Art Therapy Association. In future, I am hoping to expand my credentials and will update here as they become available (naturopathy).
