Music Therapy

According to the  Quebec's Association of Music Therapy, the music therapist is a professional that:

  1. Has a university diploma recognized by the Canadian Music Therapy Association (AMC).

  2. Is duly accredited or engaged in the accrediation process leading to the title of certified music therapist (MTA) as defined by  the AMC.

  3. Is an active member of the AMC and the AQM.
The music therapist posseses knowledge and competence in the following domains:
  1. Music and its impact
  2. Clinical improvisation
  3. Specific approaches in music therapy
  4. Psychosocial and neurobiological developpement
  5. Characteristics and needs of diverse pathologies
